Costume Day

So it's February 22, and you are probably wondering why Matthew is wearing a Halloween Costume...well, it was costume day at Daycare. This was his only costume that we had at home but he didn't seem to mind, he actually was pretty happy about getting to wear this today. He wore it all day long and when it was time to go to swimming lessons after dinner he didn't want to take it off.

Exersaucer

One of the ways dinner can be prepared without having to chase after Taiya. She'll stay here for a bit of time only if cheerios are put around the top edge of the exersaucer. Look she's even wearing a barette... and it hasn't even been pulled out - O.K. about 2 minutes after this picture was taken it was gone, and everytime I tried putting it back in she'd pull it out again.

Our Little Monkey

"Uh Oh!....I've been caught.....AGAIN.
"I made it to the summit!" "I'm not in trouble..... am I?"

Eating Chow Mein

Yummy! I love cookies!

Yeah! This stuff is good for your hair!

Sideways eating.... I'm not sure what this is all about?

Do you want to try some?

Bikini Girl!

My parents were away in Mexico enjoying some fun in the sun, and they found this adorable little swim suit for Taiya. Daddy thought is was soooo cute, we'll see how long he wants his little girl to be in a two piece bathing suit. Looks like Taiya is ready to hit the beach.

It's My Bike!

Mattew trying to tease his little sis by playing on her bike (well it used to be his when he was little). Taiya was trying to stop him from moving - it was kind of comical watching the two interact. Looks like Taiya was seeking our assistance, "Hey, can someone help me over here?".

Making Music

We have a new International Student from Mexico, her name is Monica and she's a sweet girl. Upon her arrival she brought some Mexican toys for the kids and this was Taiya's gift (Meracca's). When we say "Shake Shake", Taiya busts out shaking them and is all smiles.

Biker Girl

Taiya has adopted Matthew's first three wheeler, and she's been having fun on this. She can just reach the floor with her tippy toes and is able to propel herself a bit...such a big girl!

A "Load" of Laundry.

Matthew and Taiya having some play time together. As you can imagine this was Matthew's idea. You can see how Taiya totally looks up to and adores her big brother.

Team Canada Hockey

Daddy is so proud of his little girl. She's in her first hockey clothes....it's Team Canada all the way!
Go Canada Go!

1st Birthday

Taiya turned one year old on January 16, 2006. We had a quiet celebration with family. The kids enjoyed hotdogs, snacks and of course.....birthday cake! That evening we went out to celebrate with my parents and enjoyed some yummy chinese food.

Birthday Balloons!

Matthew was very excited about celebrating his sister's first birthday. We went out together and picked up the party supplies....by the look of this smile I'd say he was very pumped about this big bunch of red ballons.

Kung Fu Fighter

Matthew in the Kung Fu outfit we brought him home from China. He's in a pose getting ready for battle...watch out people!

Hockey Guy

Matthew started skating over the Christmas holidays and he just loves it! If he had his way he'd wear a hockey jersey everyday. He started lessons in the new year and is having a blast. Way to go Matthew!

Striking a Pose

Taiya's all dressed up in an outfit that she received from her Grandparents at Christmas time (way too cute). O.K. little one.... let's hit the malls to do some shopping!

Working Girls!

Taiya and her friend Deanna had a visit and they are both wearing Matthew's hats (hence the big size). They are ready to hit the construction sites and get to work!

Christmas 2005

Here's a shot of Taiya in her Christmas dress on Christmas day 2005. I really don't think she was too thrilled about the head band.

Winterized For A Walk

We just returned from a neighbourhood walk and I couldn't resist taking this photo. If Taiya could talk I'm sure she'd be asking "What's this get up all about?"
