Taiya loves dressing up! We dug out this summer hat from when Matthew was little, and soon she added the shades and flip flops. She was actually sitting for a minute watching T.V., and I got these pictures. I think they are quite sweet...her body postures and serious expression remind me of someone who is posing. Which one do you like best? - I can't decide.

"Bucket Head"

Yes, aren't brothers great to have around! Matthew did stuff this on her head, but soon after Taiya liked the idea. What a character this girl is!

"Catty" The Catepillar

Matthew found his first catepillar the other day!!!, this was hugely exciting for him. We've been looking for one in our neighbourhood, and finally found not only one, but two! The first one spent 2 days at daycare (his name was Catty, and the second one was found when we came home from daycare after the first day, he was named "Ice Cream". Ice Cream was "shy" (as Matthew would say), so he was released that night with the understanding that Catty would have to be released the next evening before dinner. Matthew was very gentle with Catty and talked to him as if they had conversation together - it was very sweet. He had lots of fun playing with him and enjoyed freaking out Margeaux, our International Student. The last picture is of the release, Matthew was very sad about this but did well. Maybe we'll find another?

Lacrosse Goalie

The kids rotate to be goalie and today was Matthew's big day in net. In the picture above, you can see by his expression that this is truly serious business and this role was not taken lightly. Good job Matt!

Oak Bay Tea Party

Matthew and his friend Keagan. The boys play Lacrosse on the same tea. They are only 2 mos. apart in age and are quite a pair together.

Taiya had a blast on this ride. She was all smiles the whole time.

I'm not sure why they call it a Tea Party? There was no tea to be found - just fair smells, rides, games and loud head banger music but......, we all had fun!

Sweet Baby Girl!

She may not be a baby anymore but she's still our sweet baby girl!

Macaroni Grill

We had a yummy family dinner out at the Macaroni Grill. In only a few short weeks our family will be back to four. We've enjoyed having both our students and we look forward to keeping connected with them as they continue in their paths ahead.

Park Play

After Taiya's swimming lessons today, we had a bit of fun at the park. Taiya was dressed in a cute little dress that was given to her last year...it now fits and looks so sweet!!
