Happy Mother's Day
Mommy and her beautiful babies. We had a terrific day at the beach together as a family of four. I am so happy, proud, and grateful to be a Mother. What a wonderful thing it is! I'd like to say a special thank-you to Taiya's brave birth mother ...the gift of life that came to us because of you is something that we will cherish forever, and you will always be a special part of our family. Thank-you...with love.
Big Brother and Sister
Matthew and Taiya are doing so well as siblings, it makes me gleam when I see the two of them together.
Don't Forget Dad!
We took a ton of pictures today mostly of the kids, and some with Mom of course for Mother's Day, but we couldn't forget about poor Dad... he was there too!
Enjoying the Scenery
Taiya gazing out at the water...both before and after her fun in the water. Taking in some park swinging time while guzzling down a drink of water.
Smiley Faces
Irresistable smiles!!! I love seeing them both having fun :) The best Mother's Day gift ever!
Family Bike Ride as a Foursome
Getting geared up with the helmets! Our first ride together as a foursome. Matthew's on the back on Daddy's on his Co-Pilot bike and Taiya is on the back of Mommy's. It was a great day, we went on a bike path to stay away from traffic and stopped off at a park for a quick play before turning around to come back home. Taiya seemed to have fun on the ride and was pattying Mommy's bum as we rode along. This is when we got home and she gave one of her curled up nose smiles...I think that means that she had a good time.
What a Tease! & Dancer
There's nothing like having a little sister that loves to tease her big brother. Look at that sneaky little face up to no good... trying to take his Thomas balloon. And all Matthew was trying to do was get a little quiet T.V. time. The bottom picture shows Taiya "cutting a groove" to some Treehouse music (our beloved channel that I absolutely have had enough of!)...it only takes a slight tune of music and she's all about dancing.
Thomas and Dora Stick Balloons
So we were out at Walmart today picking up a few things and I gave the kids these to hold to apease them while we waited in line. I didn't have the heart to not get them after they seemed to be having such fun...so here they are in the yard playing with their balloons. Taiya was losing a balloon fit in the top picture and wasn't so pleased about this, but she did well defending herself in the car on the drive home. It's always the simplest and silliest of toys that they seem to have the most fun with.
Swimming Floater/Medal
Hey, look at me I'm ready for some swimming. Taiya looked like she had on a turtle shell in this thinng. Just admiring the medal I won.Check this out!I'm so proud of myself!
Backyard Exploring
Today was a nice sunny warm day so I decided to dress Taiya up in the very first dress we bought for her last spring. I really lucked out on the sizing because it fits just perfectly. After I took this photo I noticed that Taiya might have been storing something in her mouth, and I was right...she was sucking on a wood chip - Yuck! These were taken in our backyard where I am trying to put together a little Asian type garden. The picture doesn't capture many of the plants, but as you can see on the left of Taiya there is a little Budha statue to help bring this theme together. The black and white photo was accidental, but I liked it so I thought I'd post it anyways.
At The Beach!
Here's a picture of the girls playing in the sand...a bit of a tricky task getting them together in a group. With lots of noise we got 3 of the 4 girls to look towards the camera. Left to right are: Jade, Taiya, Deanna and Lizu. Jade looks as though she is leading an orchestra...very cute!On the far left is another little girl from China. Her names is Emma and she is 18 mos old. We now have a 5 th little playmate for our little Yangxi ladies to play with.
Willow's Beach Playdate
Peek-a-Boo Taiya! Besides this game, Deanna found it fun to put rocks into the hole and let them fall on Taiya's head. Taiya didn't seem to mind but we didn't think it was the greatest idea. The pea gravel was really a hit in this park! This is a small spinning seat that the girls had fun in. Where's your smiles Taiya?Taiya was not happy about being in the sand at first, but warmed up fairly fast and began playing with the buckets etc. OOOoo! this stuff feels neat on my toes! Just another picture of Taiya playing at the beach.
